Default Hood Protector

I got my hood protector from Suncoast tonight.

http://www.suncoastparts.com/product...iorAccessories

As others have mentioned it takes about a minute to install. I really like the way it looks. Makes the hood look very finished. Now I just need the cargo protector for the floor. I should have just ordered both at the same time.

Money, how do the toll stickers work in your area? Can you take the sticker off, and spray paint the exterior side with flat black paint? When re-installed, it will "disappear". I do that here in Illinois, but we have little boxes, not stickers.

LexVan, great idea to camouflage those darn things. The "Sunpass" system used here in FL gives you the option to purchase a sticker or a portable system (a 1" X 4" transponder w/ small suction cups).

The sticker could pry be painted because the transponder chip is encased in the sticker. I don't think a thin coat of paint would reduce it's ability to be picked up by the tolls.

I have the portable system. I'll be spray painting mine in a couple minutes.

You may still be able to get a Sunpass "box," but E-pass has done away with them. At least on the website they have. I didn't call them. I had the portable boxes for both my M3 and S4, but I finally decided I'm tired of digging it out and holding it up. Holding the sticker against the glass was hit or miss as the transponder in the sticker supposedly used the entire windshield as an antenna. It isn't as noticable on the tinted windshield when it's not under my beeming garage lights.

I want to thank you for pointing out and posting pictures of this mount. Good job. I like it.

Hey -it looks like a mosquito just crapped on your car- better do it all over again!
Just messin with you, - seriously, beautiful car, garage and I admire your passion and attention to detail as well as time to do it. Mine's been in the garage under cover for the last month up here in Jersey with 3 kids 14 and under driving me nuts so I'm a little jealous right now - can you tell?

That's funny man. I understand your pain. I grew up in the Poconos and went to school in Philly. That's why I'm down here. You guys have had a nasty winter. I hope it ends soon.

I don't know what that is. He always has something crazy around his neck. My wife takes him all over the place, and he comes home with some weird stuff. Pirate costumes, Mickey ears, swords, etc.

Money,
Awesome thread, THANK YOU! Love your photos. I think I've gone through them 3+ times.
One question for you. Clear bra. I'm certain, based on your OCD, that you at least considered it. What was your thought process? Pros - Cons? Thanks again!

I didn't. Once I stuck it on, I don't want to take it off. It may pull the tint off the windshield if I do.

Thanks! I was hoping some would find my info useful. As for a clear bra, I don't do them but certainly have considered it a time or two. The lesson I've learned is that I don't keep cars long enough for it to matter. If I still lived in the North or went to the track I would highly consider it, but for me it just doesn't make sense.
