Does it have the power memory package?

Paul of: http://www.designpaulchampagne.com/928Seats.html made this 928 sport seat in lazered pascha for a friend a few years back. Even incorporated the pop up armrests. T

I use Herman Miller and love it. Not sure the Porsche chair would be more comfortable.

Default ****** ALERT!

A Recaro car seat on a rolling base is a farce, suitable for enjoying a cigar and a Scotch, while viewing one's car in the garage!
Bad idea!

As an industrial designer I am familiar with the market of ergonomic office chairs.

Look at the offerings from Steelcase and Herman Miller.
These are highly evolved, superior products designed by experts.

I have used a Steelcase Leap for 15 years, and it is still in excellent condition. So is my spine!

Get a REAL chair, and save your back.

Friend of mine went to dcautomotive. They're the largest recycler of porsche parts in the US. Picked out a couple of seats, installed them on old office chair frames. They look great.

I thought about getting one and it is very nice but I got an Interstuhl Silver instead. https://www.interstuhl.com/silver/en#1
I find it nicer looking and more comfortable.

Mike at Vintage Seats can help. They manufacture the best-in-business reproduction Recaro sport seats for vintage 911s. They can build a beautiful office chair for much, much less than the prices being discussed here. Don't quote me, but I believe they are well below $2k each and are supremely comfortable.

Well, I sold the pair of 928 12-way seats I was using one of as my office chairs, so picked up a 997 GT3 version to replace it. Not quite as cool since only the backrest is powered, but I find the 997 Sport seats to be the most comfortable Porsche seat and why I have those in both my 997 and 928, and now my office. Here's the updated look.

Right after I bought my 991 I happened to see the "chair" at the dealership. I made a mental note to think about it, as the price looked quite fair. The next time I was there I sat in it to try it out, when I got up I looked at the price tag. Holy s**t, I had thought it said $495.00. Finally able to see the numbers clearly I was just happy to escape.

I have a long history with office chairs: many years ago I was standing behind my desk, talking with my former wife. I don't recall the details of the call, but she hung up on me while I was talking, as was her wont. I was so p***ed off that I threw the phone as hard as I could toward the wall. I had neglected to remember that I had recently had the base attached to the wall next to my desk, to save space. Somewhere, near the end of the phone's outbound trajectory, I must have had some slow realization that this object (which had a tightly coiled cord) was going to come back my way. Like and old man attempting to get out of the way of a head-seeking fastball, I began to duck and twist to the left in an effort to avoid what damn sure seemed to be an accelerating object that appeared to have some kind of crude homing device. Alas, I was too slow; the heavy handset hit me between the eyes, thankfully just above my nose. It knocked me off balance, whereupon I landed off-center in my high-backed leather office chair. The chair, not that stable to begin with, tipped me smartly backwards at such an angle that I was upside-down with my head wedged into a tight corner of a wall and a built-in bookcase, still tightly sitting upside-down in the chair with my legs thrashing somewhere above my desk. It actually took me a while to get out of this position. I have been a great deal more careful with rolling chairs ever since. Of course, I never said a word to my wife.
