Anyone using a Porsche Office Chair?

Hi, all. Slightly OT, but I don't know who/where else to ask.

My office is moving, and I am in the process of selecting furniture. I am not thrilled with the desk chairs offered by our contracted furniture provider.

Does anyone have a Porsche office chair (or a similar Recaro office chair)? Is it actually comfortable for a ten-hour day in the office?

I don't want to drop $5,000 on something that looks great but doesn't actually work well as a desk chair.

Thanks.

my boss had one and let me use his desk while I watched his office.

Pretty comfortable, and you find yourself making car-revving noises when sitting in it.

That being said, a good office chair is more comfortable. When I got him to build me an office, I asked for a $800 leather office chair and was very happy with it. I bought a $50 Burago model to sit on my desk and still could make the "vroom-vroom" noises...

I have been using the Porsche Office chair since late December and absolutely love it. Previous office chairs were a GT3 "Clone" (cheap but not so good and falling apart) and a series of Recaro "C" seats. The Porsche chair is the best so far and almost as comfortable as my 18 Way seats in the 991S. It is after all the true Porsche "Sports" seat option from the 991 series. Expensive but worth it. I have a bad back and no issues with the chair. Comes pretty well fully assembled, just unpack, attach the arm rests, charge the battery and you're away to the chair/office races.

I have had countless numbers of chairs for my office. Three years ago I purchased a Recaro office chair and have been very happy with the choice. The chair shows no wear and is very comfortable and well made. The cost is less than half.

I have had a Recaro office chair for the past 7 years. I am embarrassed to admit I must spend 10+ hours a day sitting in it. It's supremely comfortable, has adjustable lumbar and draws compliments almost daily. What better for a car enthusiast? I thought about the new Porsche's chair, but I just can't justify the $$. The Recaro chair I think was ~$1500 or so. Been great!

I would LOVE to have a Porsche chair, but I just can't justify 5 grand for one. It should cost well under half that.

I've got one from a Boxster for sale $1300 plus shipping. Grey full leather. I have the other seat as well, it is just not set up as an office chair. $2000 for both.

My new 18-way sport seat is fantastically comfortable at the office...unfortunately building management complained about the tracks in the lobby and made me start parking outside again. :(

I have one as well, purchased for $4,500 new off ebay. I love it and as far as I (and my back) are concerned, it was well worth the money.

I made one with a seat from my 928 when I put 997 seats into her.

Hooked up a 12v alarm system battery that I recharge every few months so even the electrics work :)
