when the GTR first came out, it also have huge brake noise issue, the issue they said was it squeeks when its cold and not when its hot, somehow my gtr does both on and off. My new 50th edition rarely makes any, and seems lately it makes couple squeel early in the morning when its cold outside, tiny ones that don't really bother me much.
I believe with this larger more performance oriented brakes system, act similiar way, no matter how much you pay for them except the ceramics.

I had an annoying buzz that actually came from the front speakers when music hit certain frequencies. it drove me crazy. there is a bulletin for it that involves using strips of sticky back foam, it fixed the issue. i'am getting an intermittent buzz/rattle that my wife helped me ID as coming from the seat belt housing. will take a look at that at some point but its not a huge issue.

Thanks

Was it with the Bose system? That stereo is such a piece of ****. I had a Bose system in my last Porsche and should've known better, because it sucked as well.

lol, you guys are funny, just experience the buzz from the front drive side, first time I actually turn the volume this loud since I got the 50th, too busy listening to the exhaust note
Any way the rattle I found when the music have mucho bass, is from the vibrating side mirror, kid you not.
Will test it again to confirm, I remember I cranked it up loud to hear it rattle, I didnt hear anything when my window is up, only when its down and the volume all the way up.

So what you're saying, soon this will all be a distant, if painful, memory….

Ok, I know this is an old thread, but is there really an updated brake pad per PCNA? My brakes are squealing like crazy and I have a service appointment this week for oil change etc...I would love to get this covered under warranty.

The brake noise will go away if you do one simple thing. For a few days, don't do any slow braking where you apply light pressure and drag the brakes to a stop. No matter where you are, brake later and harder. Do that regularly for a while and the noise will be gone. And don't make a habit of light, sustained pedal pressure.

I'm currently feeling the pain. My 2016 991 CS2 is currently in the shop getting rattles fixed. One coming from the passenger door where the metal meets the plastic near the red door light. Another is near the B pillar on the passenger side. Already serviced it 3 times for rattles and each time they fix one i hear a new one. I've even test driven the vehicle with the technician who states that most of what I hear is "within normal limits" and that my coupe is more quite than most he's sat in. This could mean 2 things: 1. I'm expecting too much from a $100,000+ car (granted my little brother's Honda S2000 has infinitely more squeaks, rattles, and noises than my 991) OR 2. He's trying to BS me so that I can drop this subject and the service department can move on from this issue.

Either way it's a shame as I've been told by my SA that it will soon be out of the "adjustment period" claiming that Porsche only allows for 1 year of "adjustment" for rattles, squeaks, and noises. Anyone with the same experience? Is this 1 year "adjustment period" for real?

My R8 is a vault compared to my 911. I have the B-pillar rattle that we isolated to the seat belt tensioner on the passenger side. They took it all apart once and it was ok for a bit but now is buzzing away again. Highly annoying. Seems it is very common (hadn't seen this string before) with no real fix I guess so not sure I want them loosening up more stuff trying again.

I have a Targa and will now annoyingly state I have no rattles, I'm sure my comment is helpful.
