Default Wheel Spacers

Hi all,

I'd like to order a set of RSS wheel spacers from Sharkwerks for my 2013 Carrera (no pasm). Sharkwerks says on the web that 7mm fits the best with non-lowered vehicle but I think it would be too subtle just like the 5mm factory spacers and I intend to go with 15mm on the rear, how would it look on the 19" wheel?
Referred to some old posts and they look really good on a Carrera S (20" wheel + pasm), would it look good on a regular Carrera?

Thanks in advance!

I don't know about how that works with your car & set-up, but the 15's left room to play with on mine...and no fender rolling.

I have RSS 7 and 15, made a big difference in stance imo. Can't see why it wouldn't do the same on your 19" rims. Overall diameter should be the same NO?

I have the 7/15mm set on my non-pasm car with 19's, which is what was originally recommended. Personally I think the rears are a little extreme, it works but backing off to 10 or 12mm would be perfect but not offered. Also remember that pushing your front tires out allows more debris to spray down the side of the car and this time of year with all the grit and gravel on the roads, it takes a beating!

Great point. Not considered by most.

^^^ Exactly. I had wheel spacers once and after a year just sandblasted the inner lip of the wheel wells. To say nothing of extra chips on the sides that I'm certain would have been less otherwise. So be careful how wide you go.

Also not considered by most, the true wide stance filled fenders look this is meant to copy is the way race cars look as a result of performance, competition and rules. Appearance has nothing to do with it. They do whatever it takes to go fast, looks be damned. And frankly, most of what they achieve is hideous from a pure design point of view. But we all love the racer look, even though the look has nothing to do with it, its all performance. We got it completely backwards. Want real racer cred? Take your wheel spacer money and spend it on DE. No 911 looks better than when its on a nice precise late-apex line.

Thank you all for the inputs, as for the debris I think I would hold on for now. I really love the wide stance look but I rather not take the chance of damaging the paint on such fine driving machine.

Get 7/15, the wheels don't stick out that much more. You're talking 1/4" and 1/2"

I would ONLY get the Brey Krause spacers for the 7mm. They are the only ones that I've found that actually have hubcentric rings that work with the Porsche center hub. They are a lot more expensive but I had vibration issues with the other 7mm spacers I've found because they don't let the wheels engage the centering hub.

7/15 is more aggressive but it depends on the wheel/offset you have. Since there are a few I'd recommend emailing us first and going over what you have...

7/7 is always a safe bet...

I have 7/15 with lowered springs and like the look.
Its really tough to tell the dif between 5 and 7 up front and 10 /12 and 15 in the rear.
My wife thinks I'm nuts, but its all about what you like.
good luck, its part of the fun of having one of these cars

cheers
