Reading the $10k list of stuff Money uses reminded me of this https://rennlist.com/forums/porsche-...arrera-gt.html

Reading Hammers reminded me you can also get there (or 99% of there) with $100 of Griot's.

I'm talking just the normal Griot's, not the blue...

No, not nearly as easily but not as difficult as a carnuba. PL comes up easier than anything I've ever seen. Sonax beads water better, shines more, and lasts twice as long. Oh, and it costs $25.

Ha...ha. Crossfit, cars, and detailing are my thing. Oh, and watching TV while laying on my couch.

You need to grab some Menzerna SF4000 or FG400 to replace Polish 4 and Polish 3. It will change your life.

I've tried many polishes but what I've learned is that only the "professional" polishes (those used by body shops to work in paint) are capable of removing scratches completely. Most shops in my area use Wizards brand and I've had really good results with it. The Meguiars pads work well for machine polishing.
Any quality carnuba wax works well; I happen to use Zymol.
Here's my car after 16 hours of wet sanding, polishing and waxing:

What coating is on your garage floor? We just built a new house and I am thinking of doing something with the garage floor.

Thanks al.
My list of materials, FWIW:
(1) Murphy's Oil Soap (all purpose wash and won't cut the wax)
(2) Wizards Mystic Cut polish
(3) Zymol Creme Carnuba
(4) Aerospace 303 Protectant (for rubber and black plastic trim exterior trim)
(5) Armor All wipes (tires)
(6) Meguiars Heavy Duty Vinyl Cleaner
(7) Leatherique Rejuvinator Oil (for leather)
(8) Meguiars Natural Shine Portectant (for interior vinyl)
(9) Meguiars Final Inspection (for removing hand prints; otherwise I try to never touch the finish)
(10) Purple Power Glass Cleaner (absolutely the best no-streak glass cleaner I've found)

I polished my sons' Grand Marquis and treated with Opticoat over a year ago; it's still holding up well. It's great stuff for a daily driver.

Not quite as impressive as Money's list but yields more funds for go-fast parts

It is a metal epoxy system with two coats of clear urethane on top. The finish is designed to look like aluminum. I wouldn't do it again. I should have had it polished like I orignally wanted, but the concrete guy talked me out of it. You can see all of the roller marks from the urethane. It almost looks like you touched up you flat walls with satin paint. There are high and low spots all over the place. Oh well, live and learn...

Your garage is so clean, that explains your very thorough detail list.

Has anyone here tried Dr. beasleys? They make their own stuff right in Chicago (part of Simon's Shine shop) and I find it to be very high quality without breaking the bank. The 1201 sealant with their Carnuba on top works wonders.

If you know anything about reflectivity, you know how hard it is to get silver or a medium gray to shine.

Is this sealant or wax?

My above Agate Gray C2S is wearing a process called Opti-Coat 2.0, a reactive polymer resin coating.

Last winter while waiting for my C2S to make the 2 month trip from Stuttgart to my dealer in Portland, I found the below detailed, informative post on a detailing forum. It not only helped pass the time, but it was also borne out of the frustration that no matter how many 10-12 hour session I had spent detailing my Arctic Silver 911 Turbo just like several posters above with their long list of products and steps, I just couldn't get it to shine very much when sitting in the sunshine.

The below link's writer's chronologic use of products, as each was developed and became popular, mirrored mine. After corresponding with a number of detailing experts about it's durability and reflectivity, I decided to give it a try.

My results are shown above, yours may vary.
