But then one would never put corvette in the same league as Porsche as far as built and finish quality is concerned....
No excuse for that level of poor quality, regardless of the Marque. I didn't have any of those type issues they are seeing in the C7 in any of my Corvettes.

It's nt the end of the world but I can understand the Op's concern with his new pride and joy. Some of you are a bit tough on him.

In the words of Crocodile Dundee: That's not a loose thread...THIS is a loose thread!

Any way the mods can fix up this loose thread under warranty as well?

Porsche 911 Carrera FACTORY (Type 991) - YouTube

I like my cars assembled by people in tank tops with exposed armpit hair... that's quality expressing itself, if I've ever seen it.

All those Porsche employees in overalls and collared shirts, with SLEEVES, looking like professional craftspeople just turns my stomach.

Where's that video of that GM factory making that plastic body car? Tank tops, T-shirts, armpit hair... now THAT'S my idea of quality!

I was curious and went over to Corvette Forum and all I can say is....Wow! Some of the stories there are bad almost beyond belief and yet they come with clear pictorial evidence. I hope GM can get its act together, but the difference between that company and Porsche has never been clearer.

For the OP, I can understand your disappointment but this is a very minor issue indeed. Porsche will fix the problem...but you should not let this episode spoil your enjoyment of a truly awesome car.

It will be OK. I had my passenger seat and Burmester amp replaced in the first month. Some folks have transmission issues.

I have also heard about issues with flux capacitors but that was another brand. Just try to order one of those.
