Default Late July 2014 Delivery?

Just looking to get an idea of when I should order my 991S Cabrio if I am desiring at late July 2014 delivery?? Ballpark figures really so I have an idea of the timeframe on new builds. I am down in Houston, TX if that makes any difference.

That is when my 38th Bday is coming and I couldn't dream of a better gift to myself

Thanks!

You'd need to have your order locked in with an April build allocation. Your dealership will know.

Just buy it now and call it a late 37th... Fwiw, I ordered mine last month (15th) and it's scheduled for delivery on 1/10/14, so about 3 months. Your time will depend on the dealer's allocation, options, etc...
What dealer are you going through? I found the Houston dealers to be terrible in the best case.

Play your cards right and a late July 2014 delivery may be one of the first 2015's.

V-200 Vehicle date determined - 7/19/13

V-900 Dealer Inventory - 9/24/13

Delivery Port in R.I. - Dealership in Phila, PA.

Figure additional 3-5 days for Texas Port.

Make sure your dealer has an allocation first, ordering is secondary.

North Houston is the least bad and I will probably use them for service even though West is only 5 minutes away from me. West and Momentum (Common ownership of Sonic) are staffed by ignorant crooks so I won't give them a cent of business. I ended up buying from a FL dealer I had bought a Cayman S from years ago. Good luck negotiating.

Haven't picked it up yet. I'm planning on flying to get it though and drive it back from Miami, we have a place there. Figured it was the best way to get past the break in miles.

As LexVan mentioned, Intercity is pretty good, I've used them before. Didn't know there was a Rennlist discount though!

If the switchover between 2014 and 2015 model years follows the same pattern as the switchover from 2013 and 2014's, you'll be able to get an early 2015 car by late July (hopefully). I picked up the last of the new build 2013's in early June (delivered June 4th) and I found a dealer with a May build slot. I locked the order at the end of April. Your timing might be a bit different as you need to solve for longer transport to Houston (I'm in NY). But I agree with what 008 said, buy it now and call it a late 37th or early 38th gift!

I bought 2 at west and 2 at north. North by far was the better dealer and serve is way better. After buying 2 from west in 2 years, went back to get a Panamera TS and the sales guy as well as the sales manager at west didn't even return my calls after the initial call. North gave me a fair deal and discount on the car. I have been very happy with them.
