My car arrived 10 am at Pfaff. Being prepped but because of rain I'll get it on monday morning. It's 104/1963. That's a fairly low number. Hoping it's the lowest NA number.

The serial number is random I think. Someone got 1900s something and someone has 100s. Not sure how it's allocated. BTW tcbrown and Bacura, any relationship between your serial number and your VIN? Sometimes last few digits of the VIN is the serial number.

There is no 104 in the VIN. Is your thought about the randomness based on anything? The only other one posted was 292.

Its beautiful. Don't mess it up with a plate. Take your plate to a print shop, have them scan it and print it on vinyl. It will look exactly like metal, only thin like a decal. From 20 ft it looks like a metal plate molded and glued on. They can be made with or without adhesive. Without is what track guys have used for years to display numbers, and they will stick (static cling) just fine on the body. Wouldn't trust it to stay on for weeks at a time being washed and so on but for your intended use (as needed) it'll be perfect. They come and store on waxed paper so you can keep one in the car and always be ready.

Serial number is not random, it can be reserved when you place an order (if the dealer willing to do it).
Early large number must be dealer or customer reserved number (originally).

Nr. 1963 itself has left Zuffenhausen.

Thanks for the info on the numbering. I will reach out to my dealer. Not sure why some are fixated on "low Numbers". Unless you have number 001, there will be absolutely NO effect on value, desireability etc... (maybe 911, 991 or 1963 but nothing else).

Exactly those numbers and additionally Nr. 0050 for general crowd. All other either personal, regional, or just meaningless.

Like my of the posts, a lot of comments are made without facts. Your "assumptons" about XXXX/1963 are just conjecture. You have no proof of anything from Porsche. I got mine from the largest dealer in Canada. I tried to "reserve" a number but my dealer was told the special numbers...1/911/991 etc. were reserved and that the factory was not interested in getting me a particular number. I settled on the earliest possible delivery to get the lowest number. So far, only 2 numbers have been posted, mine at 104 and 292. If indeed, mine turns out to be the lowest number I will be happy. when you get yours please post your number. If some gets #75 in March then I might buy your randomness theory. What I will do is , after all are delivered I will contact Porsche to try and get the list of NA numbers. Do you know who got 1963? Do you know where it went? Are you just blowing smoke out your lower hole? Facts please....not more BS.

I agree with Bacura in that I also could not reserve a number despite asking several times.

Tell that to the person who gets 666 . It may be very desirable or totally undesirable depending on the buyer.

A Chinese buyer on the other hand will pay a lot of money for an 888.

And there is a long list of people to whom certain numbers mean a lot besides the Porsche references, so numbers will certainly effect value and desirability to many a original buyer and at resale time.

Wow, someone seems pissed
You wont find Nr. 1963 from PCNA because it is RHD car.
Will catch up to you when I know more about it.
