October is great for wheel switching :)
October seems to be the perfect month for swapping wheels up here. It's getting consistently wet and cool (low 50's in the mornings lately) but it's not too cold to get outside and do a little home Porsche work.
The jack points are fairly easy to spot under the car if you have an idea of what to look for. I double-check the manual, sometimes forget the correct torque for the wheel lugs (118 lb/foot).
It's wonderful when something just works. I put the Michelin Pilot Alpin 4's on, I drove around the block, and the car asked me if I had switched the wheels. I told her yes, they are winter 20's. She thought about it for a moment, and then reported my tire pressure as 30/30 on the fronts and 38/38 for the rears. Not too bad after sitting on an elevated wheel holder all summer.
I like having a wheel holder on the garage wall, keeps things out of the way and keeps the tires pressured up correctly (mostly). I haven't even looked to see what the suggested pressure is for these yet, but I'd bet they are very close if not spot on when warmed up.
Anyway, took 45 minutes and I have no power tools. Now..to clean the summer wheels really well before putting them up for the winter. ohwell, it can't be all fun right!

Can you use the rear jacking point, and get the car lifted high enough to pull both wheels (front & back) on the 991? Or do you need to use all 4 lifting spots for all 4 wheels?
May I recommend that you use an old hockey puck as a jack pad. Just not one from the Stanley Cup Champions.

Great shots Nicoli.
Where in the NW are you?
I stole my wife from Seattle many years ago and told her I can't move there until I'm retired and never in a rush to get anywhere. Sidenote is my entire family is from "fake" Washington, ie: Chelan, Wenatchee, Yakima so I am part of the family.
It's so pretty where you live. Rain quotient. It's just the overcast that makes me want to stab myself with a dull pencil.
Making the Carrera classics your winter wheel! Classic ! It's all I have for my 991 as of now. I was looking at some nice ADV.1 3 piece though. Then I can make my Classic's my Los Angeles winter wheel like you!
