Default Budget 991 Build Ideas

We are currently building a budget 991 C2S right now ( springs, wheels, exhaust) but it got me thinking, what would you guys like to see in a budget build, for street and occasional track use.

Budget is $2,500 (labor excluded)

Throw your ideas or if you've done something similar, post it up!

That's a tight budget... maybe x-pipe and tires.

Wheels, 19"
Brake pads
Brake rotors for use with OEM calipers
Brake fluid
Brake cooling ducts
Front spoiler lip, rear lip and rear valance designs at reasonable costs. No carbon fiber plea$e!
Aluminum pedal sets

For me personally, ECU and intake upgrades are too pricey for the ROI. And for those with PSE, many won't want to change that anytime soon after spending so much to get it.

Occasional track use was the criteria mentioned. I have always used dedicated higher-performing race pads on the track and changed back to OEM pads after the event.

Wow, some great ideas.

We went with painted wheels, spacers, exhaust tips, and springs.
Also... the 991 in Racing Yellow is something else. Wow.

Keep the ideas coming! We will have a lot more of these budget builds(sub $5,000).

Tires and clear bra will spend your budget, but that is the way to go.

It probably depends on how you drive on the track. If you're an occasional person and aren't driving that hard, then maybe just some better tires on your existing rims. If you're driving hard on the track, you'll probably glaze over your pads in one weekend like I did. Better rotors, pads, and fluid for just parts is about $3300. (That's with Girodisc rotors and Pagid pads). 19" wheels were 2k, and R888's were $1350.

I'd also note that I've driven quite hard on very hot days and still not had the engine or brakes overheat, so I probably wouldn't recommend and cooling.

Factory cooling systems are put through pretty rigorous testing. You really have to be 10/10th for a long time to cause any problems there.
