10 day old car. Burmester worked fine this am and went to to my car after work no luck. It stopped working, no sound at all. Going to dealer tomorrow. Bose was crappy but reliable. Anyone else have any problems?

I tried the cut off, lock and restart mutliple times. Will try a few more again. Thanks for sharing your experience. Will advise you all.
PS Send me some of that Burmester 1937. I would appreciate a snort

Dealer said PCNA has an advisory out on the need to reload the program on some units. They were able to get the Burmester working by taking the battery out but weren't sure that it would last and thought my amp was defective. It will be replaced under warranty next week when they get the part in. Hope that will be the end of my gremlins.

Dealer replaced my amplifier and as I drove off the airbag warning light is on. The amp is under the driver's seat.
Got a call from PCNA and they are also recalling the car for a defective passenger side airbag harness. This is unrelated to the airbag warning light. Three weeks and lotsa of problems so far.

There is no question I think it is important to keep a positive attitude in regards to things you have little control over. The thing is a lot or probably most of us bought a Porsche at least partly because of the high quality of the vehicles build. I we wanted problems there are a lot of other maybe even more exciting cars we could of purchased.
If I had the problems zelig has I would be pretty pissed.

I had a few small problems with my car as well. The service department at the dealership where I bought my car was TERRIBLE. I've changed to a different dealership and they've been terrific at fixing any problems. Maybe you should try another dealership.
