U.S. Specs:

991 C2(S) 16.9 gal.
991 C4(S) 18 gal.
991 GT3 16.9 gal. Optional 23.7 gal.

The C4 models have more fuel capacity, but less luggage space.

And the Turbo and Turbo S have 17.9 (according to the US Configurator Tech Specs). So it looks like the 4 wheel drive system impacts the front luggage space in a manner that, with the shape of the frunk, allows for roughly another gallon of fuel tank capacity.

I know I am reviving an old thread, but this is the only one I found searching the board regarding the Extended Fuel Tank option on the GT3.

A couple of questions, as I'm trying to spec out my GT3 order.

1. Is this a must get option? Seems like a no-brainer since it's free.
2. Are there downsides, like less luggage capacity?

Thank you.

Less luggage space but who cares. Gas mileage WAY worse than 991S. No brainer. Get it.

Porsche USA build specs list 18.0 gal for C4S, on the one I just built.

Just to complicate things, here is another question. The 911/50 has a C2S drivetrain but a C4S body. Which fuel tank does it come with?

Because it's the front all wheel drive hardware that drives the size of the tank, it's no surprise to find that the Porsche website shows the 911/50 to have the 2 wheel drive fuel tank @ 16.9 gallons.

My low fuel warning on the CS4 goes on very prematurely then. The needle is in the red but 14.5 gallons is all that is required at fill up.

Yes, I've also only been able to get 14.5 gallons on fill up of my 991 TT. This is with the light on and the range at only 15-20 miles or so. Anyone know how much the car should take on fillup when close to empty?
