A little steep $$$ for the PSE install on a non-S. I am tempted to experiment with the Agency Power x-pipe on my base as not many "reasonably priced" aftermarket exhaust is available for a non-S. Cheaper quality exhaust for sure but it does wonder on my friend's BMW and he is loving it. I can always re-install stock if I am bored with it or don't like it. Youtube video boasts nice sound for the Agency Power system. Decision, decision, decision...

I know i'm probably in the minority re: PSE, but I ordered a 2014 C2 coupe without PSE. I'm just not a big fan of the burbles and pops on downshifts. Just don't like it for whatever reason. I also really liked the sound of the standard exhaust sound that the C2 makes once you got past the 5,000 RPM mark.

I had PSE installed last Friday, had to work all weekend but drove the car from Rhode Island down to Maryland for business on Monday, then back on Tuesday. Good opportunity to wring it out a little bit.
I like it a lot ... it's more throaty even when the button is turned off. It sounds great when you are in Sport or Sport Plus and get on it ... I ran it through the long, tiled 895 tunnel in Maryland and it was awesome. To me, it's not so much about the burbles and pops as it is the exhaust note. I did quite a bit of driving with the top down -- 301 in Maryland, Merritt Parkway in CT, and it sounds terrific.
One of the nicest things about it is the ability to switch it off, as it can get a bit droney at highway speeds. And no doubt the wife will like it better with it off.
It's a bit pricey to add after the fact, but I like that it's factory and won't interfere with the warranty, although I'm not sure that's really an issue anyway. It's the one option this car did not have that I would have ordered had I done the original build (bought it with 4k miles), so I paid up for it. Glad I did.

Has anyone had the PSE installed after delivery in a base C2 with PDK? Is the difference worth the expense? Are there any downsides other than the $$$? I am not disappointed in the sounds of a base C2 in regular or sport mode.
My 87 and 89 911s had great guttural sounds that kept me happy while my 95 993 sounded as if it had been sterilized (or shall we say emasculated).
I must know if the postpartum transplant is worth it!

That's exactly what I just did ... I did not think the base car sounded bad without it, either, but I definitely think it sounds better with it.
