991 chick magnet or not?

So a couple years ago, I was dating a girl about 1/2 my age and smoking hot at 20 years old. I was having a great time, and she was too. Well, a close female friend of mine commented to me, (presumably in an effort to save me from a situation she perceived was bad), "you know marv, she's only sleeping with you because she thinks you have money." Nothing about her comment surprised me. My response to my friend was, "Okay. I guess we're even because I'm only sleeping with her because I think she's hot, what's the difference and who cares?"
A few years ago I happened to be watching an old movie classic on TV. Your observation above brought to mind one of the scenes from that movie. A very plain looking 40+ year old guy looked into the eyes of his beautiful, early 20s girl friend and said to her that the only reason you stay with me is because of my money. She smiled and told the guy that the only reason he loved her is because she was beautiful.

My wife hated my X5 50 (she didn't like its color --Alpine White-- nor its factory smell from day1). I traded it in for a Graphite Hybrid Q50S a month ago to use as a DD. She loves it. Fortunately she likes the P Car too.

Oddly enough, girls pay a lot of attention to me when I drive the 993 RSR clone. Of course, I am the same age(mid 20's)as most girls who would find a car attractive.

Parked at a pizza take-away and placed my order. Busy night so I had to wait. This is at a fairly busy shopping center so lots of people walk by.
To keep me busy I decided to do a little survey. How many people tuned their heads when walking past the car and what is the gender.
Well, the result is interesting.
I counted about 180 people walking past, I'd say around 60% of these where females. Only 5 females noticed the car. The men ? Well, I hate to say this but around 75% of men turned their heads, several stopped and had a closer look.
So chick magnet ?
No.

Ferraris are chick magnets. There have been a few studies on the sound a Ferrari emits evoking responses in women. I used to drive a family member's red Ferarri 360 Spider and I got many, many responses from women. I have owned two 911s and I got one response over my 7 years of combined ownership.

Fiero, Ferrari, what's the difference? Most women are just coming from a different place when it comes to cars.
Chick magnetism of the 911 is probably right up there with a banjo or a Three Stooges marathon. Hence the Cayenne, Panamera, Macan.

Not a chick magnet, I think it attracts more guys who want to talk about the car. My wife likes the car and that's all I need. Some women have waved at me in the car, but that is rare. Got pulled over by a female cop who wanted to talk about the car, she was a real gear head though. And the old joke, I said I could outrun her cop car, she said yeah but no the cop radio.

It's a guy magnet for sure. Girls don't seem to care.
