Problem solved. Remove the magnetic set from your car and lend to your friend as his template.
Nope for many reasons. I'm in the east coast he's in CA and I have nothing to gain and a lot to lose by leaving them off my car, getting stone nicks while in transit back and forth. There are many shapes I hear as well, shall I go on?
Over and out. I tried. Sorry all.
Hi guys, I’ve been trying to find black magnetic stone guards too, with no luck. I’m a graphic designer so I decided to make them. I’ve been testing them on my own car and they’ve held up through sleet, snow, rain, and 125 mph.
Took me a while to get the shape right but I think I’ve got it nailed. Slightly larger than the factory for more protection. I call them MagnaFins. I was gonna wait to post here until I had the website ready but seems like there is a need for these.
I’m selling black for $100- deep black with a heavy duty lamination that has a texture like the original black stone guards on the G body 911s. I’ll post a pic when I get home.
I have Matte Black (pic attached) with a printed Porsche logo for $150. Any color logo you want.
I have 3M carbon fiber coated fins for $150.
I’m putting in an order Monday for several friends if anyone is interested. All prices plus shipping.
I have 997 in stock, I can get them made and shipped in about 10 days.
PM to order or for more details. Thanks!

Reason: Inconsistent price
I believe that TX Targa was showing/selling them at Porsche (PCA) Palooza (Eureka Springs, AR) a couple of weeks ago … if so, they looked great … to naked eye the same as the one ones from the (gone dark) Ohio Magnagrafiks dude was selling (there is a couple of PCA members in my local region that have some from Magnagrafiks).
@tx targa Great job with this! I love my Magnagrafik ones but I wish they were a bit larger. How is the size of yours in comparison? Or any differences in shape or size such as wider or taller?

I owned them too. My goal was to cover more of the factory stone guards and fit the wheel arch better. I traced the factory guards on the wheel side and kept that line exact. Mine line up with the top point of the factory guards on the wheel side as well, but then branch out 1/4 to 1/2 inch past the factory guards on the door side. In the attached image, the pencil line is factory, the red line is mine. Hope this makes sense.
