Default Exhaust on 991S

I tried to research this but didn't find anything. Is it my imagination or is the exhaust louder on the 991S compared to the 997.2S?

Maybe it's because my new car is a cab and my previous 2010 model was a coupe. The sound is much "throatier"(not sure if that is a word) but it's a whole new experience for the better.

PSE is incredible. After two days of ownership of a 2013 C4S Cab with PSE, I am already second guessing the decision to upgrade to the Burmester.

The exhaust will improve so much, that in your next Porsche, you will get "radio delete"

I kept base stereo and got FVD exhaust worth every penny, comparing to PSE I would guess around 25-35% louder then PsE but with hp and tq gains and reduce weight by around 30 pounds to the rear. I hardly use the stereo

If u like oEm look, PSE is one of the best sounding exhaust but if u want performance gain and sound FVD would be my vote

Its all good, its FVD Brombacher

I got this exhaust system

http://www.fvd.de/us/en/Porsche-0/99..._and_Tips.html

Sounds FAB, HP & TQ gain and reduce weight in the rear and no throne in the cabin, couldn't be happier with this system.

Ditto.

Recall the 991's cabin is a lot quieter than the 997 so P saw it fit to pipe in some induction noise when the SPORT button is engaged.

Yes, I agree one of the best options.

Having a hard time understanding why I bought Bose. My exhaust sound is perfect. Keeping turning the radio down all the time.

As great as the Burmester sounds, I just went with the Bose...didn't feel the cabin was quiet enough to get the value out of the Burmester...and the PSE exhaust note is music to my ears!

I got the sunroof because I want to better hear the PSE when I drive (and didn't want to go convertible this time) ! Call me crazy :-)

I got both Burmester and PSE. Depending on my mood I can listen to either. Best of both worlds IMHO.

Same here on both - there are times PSE is off, and listening to the radio/news...
