I am definitely not questioning your choice, its great, but to say it is a better performer is not true.
You've had both 991S and 991 C4S?

I've had 997.2 and 997.2 C4S -- what you're describing does not apply to that 911 comparison. Both on three local tracks at decent pace with track tires and aligned to my liking.

There's also a post I made on this topic that shows a pro driver on a rallycross circuit that gives the nod to the 4S.

I'm talking about 997 S and C4S. Good info.

[QUOTE When I grew up we lived in a paper bag in a septic tank. We used to have to get up at six in the morning, clean the paper bag, eat a crust of stale bread, go to work down t' mill, fourteen hours a day, week-in week-out, for sixpence a week, and when we got home our Dad would thrash us to sleep wi' his belt. [/QUOTE]

HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!! and along the same lines: the beatings will continue until morale improves.

Beautiful car, I agree with your reasons for the taking the 4S... the wider body is worth it if you can afford it... looks are a major part of why we choose what we choose.

On the decals, I voted in your other post to remove them, but as always, personal choices - if you like them (and can convince the wife) then keep them.

But, I find it odd that you've added the window and the door decals, but then you opted to remove most of the lettering on the back... just curious as to your reasons?

Thank you for the comments, the choice of decals and badging is purely for esthetic reasons. I kind of like the contrast of the black letters on the doors to break up the white surfaces. I also like the shape of the Porsche banner and its link to the racing history of the brand (but decided to remove it). I don't like the badging in the back since it is a deviating color. Maybe the Porsche badge in black would look good, or I may completely remove it since it upsets the flow of the body lines in the back and it is busy enough with the red stripe and reflectors.

Exclusive would have painted them black for you, just like the 991 GT3 ..

Congrats! Definitely one of the nicest 991s I have seen so far. Enjoy!

Love the build. The white and black on the outside is stunning and the black and beige interior works very well. Wish that was an option when I built mine.

Very amazing car! I like it a lot As I can see, you put in almost every single option in it.
As pics show, did you get powerkit for it? is it the one for increased power?
If not a secret, whats the MSRP on this one? I am in love

I wish they'd bring back the old Carrera RS door sticker as an option. Yes, it's really in-your-face, but I like it. The Cayman pictured earlier in the thread was a reminiscent of it, and I liked that.

Its beautiful! I normally don't like beige interior.. but it works really well with the white..
I also like the door designation.. makes me regret not getting it on my order
