I have to say I'm seriously considering this, but it will depend on whether dealers are adding a market premium to the MSRP. I'm waiting on details from my local one.

I've got a manual 991S and have a deposit on an RS, but I might just end up getting the GT3. If there ends up being some sort of clubsport option in Canada, it'll have everything I wanted out of an RS (mainly wide body, rollbar and seats). 75HP and 9,000rpm redline sounds fantastic and unlike most, i'm looking forward to the new PDK (i've got my manual and love it, so i don't feel i'm missing out).
I plan to keep my 991S as well - sadly, it's probably the last manual Porsche is going to make....

The 991S didn't even get me mildly interested in trading in my 996TT. The GT3 has me thinking about it.
I'll wait for the fuss to die down, see if I can get some seat time in one, and then make a decision next year some time.

I'm an open-top motoring guy, guess that takes care of that. I am really looking forward to the 991 Targa though. If it's anything like this projection image, could very well sway me to trade. Even so..I love my manual cabriolet a great deal. For the first time in a long time, I'm satisfied with my car.

I'm 50/50 and will stay that way until I get to drive one and can see what options and final pricing here will be like.
Of course, due to lack of tracks here it is a car for the road so it must be suitable for that.
The new Turbo is also an option so no decision until that one is out. If they can get that to an enjoyable drive up to the standards of a NA then it is a real contender.
Yes, my 991S is all I ever wanted. But what can I say...

I have owned two GT3's. It seems that the 991 has been able to match or beat the performance of my last two cars. I have only done a handful of track days and unless you are going to track the GT3, the overall performance and comfort of the 991 is a much better choice.

When I was doing a lot of tracking, I had a "mostly track" car. I am convinced that for anyone who is at the track a lot, that is the only way to go- it can be kept at optimal readiness all season. All consumables replaced after every event, and whatever else it takes to be at the top of game. The GT3 looks totally perfect for that use.
But I am not, and would not want any of the compromises to using my 991 at "street readiness" levels- eg every day for any excuse. So in celebration of the GT3 I just ordered PSE.

If I had the means to have two sports cars, I'd def have a GT3 for the track only. But for a 80/20 DD/track car, it's going to be hard to beat the 2S. Now if the 991 GT3 is significantly more daily driveable than the 997 then I may be highly tempted.

Does anyone know how many mm/" lower the GT3 will sit relative to a SPASM C2S?
