With the PSE off... can you hear the FabSpeed Maxflo sound when car is idle with engine running?

Yes. It changes non-PSE driving from quiet nothingness into a nice, nice purrrr.

In the videos you can hear the new more purring idle - that stays with PSE off. (Hmm - ok I listened again, maybe I need to make a non-PSE sound bite from inside the garage or something.)

I was surprised that I enjoy driving with PSE off now coming home in the neighborhood..it's got some character finally.

May I ask approx. how much such install would cost?

You can get everything exhaust related with custom tips done under 3K out the door, maybe even less - but make sure to have a reputable, great shop work on your car. I don't trust my car to anyone but the very best in my area, and skilled quality labor costs money. Any issues crop up they stand behind their work and make it exactly right.

Wow , very nicely done Nicoli. Thanks for the great feedback as well, the car looks and sounds great, I'm glad your enjoying it. Let me know if you ever need anything else. If anyone is interested in a similar sound as this, we have just the setup that will give your 991 an awesome sound without being loud. PM me if you have any questions and for special member pricing.
Enjoy!

Thanks a lot Alex! I'm really liking the muffler addition and I might be calling you about some Sport Headers sometime. I understand Justin @ Benchmark has some Black Ceramic tips you are making for us on order and we expect them soon, can't wait! Appreciate doing business with quality folks. -Chris

Nicoli if you could do it over would you add the side mufflers or go in a different direction?

I'd absolutely do the same thing again - only problem is that now I very much want sport headers for my birthday this summer

I'm not sure even that could improve what I have now though in terms of being somewhat respectful to the neighbors, hehe. Really.. It's been a home run. The audio clips don't come close to representing the groovy purr I have now, and the pops and crackles are actually better than before.

I've been driving top-down in 40 degree rainy weather the last week just to better hear the beautiful sounds coming out the back. My wife is upset as I've been sick and sneezing my head off lately but it's just too good!

Well, it's been four months and a few thousand miles since adding the Fabspeed secondary mufflers. Sound is to where I can't imagine it any other way. Haven't had any issues.

991 Fabspeed/PSE quick sound today - YouTube
Thanks for the posting Nicoli as I am starting to consider an aftermarket exhaust for my non-PSE 991. I am wondering if I would be satisfied only with side mufflers or I should go for a X-Pipe center exhaust install instead...

If I didn't have the PSE from the factory in the car, definitely think of a full X-pipe/primary exhaust muffler replacement, if the PSE sounds are not to your liking or "enough" (or if a better cost effective solution is available), etc. Go for it
