Default What do you ladies and gents think of this color??

Personally I think it looks fantastic, and a great option for those who'd rather be driving their Porsches than detailing them.
I think this color would be similar to silver, lighter metallic which would hide the dirt and dust pretty well.
I think it looks rich, and you would definitely stand out as I've never seen one in person yet.
Quite a rare color.
Not sure how it would fair with resale.

It's different for sure. Not my favorite but I like it.

I also came across this color while browsing 991s. Pretty good deal.

So resale may not be that good if you care about that. Get what you like and forget about resale value!

I initially loved this color for its uniqueness and have grown to not like it for its uniqueness. I consider it the same as doing a color sample match. Cognac would have to be a color that you truly love. Rock on if you really love it!

Cheers,

It is a very nice color, but not my choice. The Anthracite Brown C2 at Park Place, however, is one of my favorites. I have seen this in person and it is fantastic. I just bought a black '12 with 4000 miles but would have loved Anthracite!

When I consider color choices, I think of two things - personal expression and locale. The pool of people that are looking for uncommon colors in the resale market are a bit... uncommon. Maybe all the conservative folks in cold climates aren't looking for this color, but you just need to find ONE buyer, right? If you like the color enough, it will outweigh the risk that you'd have to wait a bit longer to find the buyer.

Objectively, as you say, this is a nice color for lower maintenance (I've had black cars and I'm not a fastidious car washer so it's been not-so-nice at times). And you'll have my appreciation when I see you on the road.

Color is a very subjective matter, but in my humble opinion this shade is too light. Baby diarrhea leaps to mind.
I love Lime Gold (which is loathed by many and loved by few) but I knew that going too far out there could one day bite me. Found this out many years ago trying to sell a Daytona Violet M3.

Interesting that your 3rd pic with the GA license plates has a Euro bumper.
Much wider space for the license plate.

One shady away from primer. Will hide rust nicely. Sorry. Forgive my honesty.

most importantly, what do YOU think about it when you see it in real life? pictures are very deceiving. i've found that the colors are drastically different in person and in the predominant lighting of your locale. e.g. i live in the northwest, so the gt silver can actually have darker greyish-blue hues in the usual cloudy weather here, which steered me away from it toward plat silver (both great colors!). i bet the cognac also can vary greatly in bright/dark lighting. good luck!

Just as a point of reference, my first car, a 1961 Plymouth Belvedere 4 door with a white top, was very close to this color. It looks much better on the Porsche but for reasons that may or may not be obvious, I wouldn't choose it. But don't listen to me or anyone else; if it really floats your boat don't worry too much about pleasing the next guy at resale time and please yourself.

Different strokes for different folks. That's the beauty of choice
