The rev match is a feature that is specific to the Sport Chrono Pkg and only works when activated..PDK or Manual
I would be very interested to know if this feature can be added to an earlier 991 with sport chrono pkg. anyone aware if this is possible? Sounds like this is just a software change to me.

Any 991 S or Base Carrera with Sport Chrono Pkg rev matches downshifts when Sport plus is activated

I've asked my dealership if it can be added to my 2012 (991) 7-speed, they still aren't sure. I also e-mailed PCNA, they referred me to the dealership.

Mine is a 2013, and does not rev match in sport plus mode. Have taken to dealer, and they are waiting to see if a patch or some tech bulletin is issued.
It was built the first week of switchover to 2013.

Do you have the sport chrono package ... I believe this is needed to get the rev matching feature.
Now what if you want to double or even triple downshift?
hows the system figure that out before its too late.
I assume you are meaning to skip gears (i.e. downshift from 6th to 3rd)? Anyways, the computer always knows what gear you are selecting and knows how fast the car is traveling, so it's an easy computation to know what revs are appropriate (just as any decent driver would know).

Yes, I am talking about skipping gears. That said, I don't shift very slowly, and by the time the computer figured out that I wanted to select say 4th (say from 6th), it would still have to apply throttle when I'm basically in gear already.

What an absolutely colossally stupid option.
It's not an option I would want either, but Nissan has had this technology for years in the 370Z and it works well from all reports.

It doesn't matter how many gears you skip the computer is faster and spot on IMO.

I spose I'd have to see that for myself, but if I ever ended up with this option, I would pay several grand to have someone disable it in the computer.

just another step to dumb down the manual tranny.
Or you could use the switch provided to turn it off...
