Well, it sounds like the good news is soemone somewhere will get a nice deal on a lightly used 991.
Sorry you dont like it, i cant imagine spending that $$ and being disappointed.
I get a huge smile on my face just thinking about going for a drive.

good luck with whatever you decide.

cheers

I like small cars as well, but you can't call the 991 large. My suggestion would be to get a Lotus or a Mini Coupe JCW with sport options (they're pretty cheap if you're accustomed to porsche's options). Both cars will give you that small-car-go-kart feeling that you're probably looking for.

Try reading everything he's complained about. He has a Suburban and a 1959 Cadillac, but its the 991 that he complains about being too big for the driveway. Along with the 991 he was test driving the Panamera, which really is a lot bigger, but size wasn't a factor then, other than that it somehow caused him to not notice that the 991 is "big". He "likes many things about the car" which combined with everything else indicates this problem will solve itself. All the cars he praises are old. In time so will this one be, at which point it will magically have acquired "character" and have become "a reasonable car."

Mr Noble is right. My 991S has a fat *** just the way I like it. Gott sei dank. Someone get that man a cup of coffee and I'll have a Bad Cannstatter Trollinger in a big, old fat glass.

Agree with Mugatu and others that a Lotus may be better for Noble or maybe a modern M3. Hope the 991 is sold soon to someone that appreciates it.

I think each to their own, but am surprised. I love mine, and really appreciate the roomier interior and better handling made possible by the longer wheelbase and wider front track.

Life's too short...sell it...move on to the next adventure...you'll make someone very happy picking up a slightly used 991 for a depreciated price. It's only $....good luck with your next car purchase/decision.

Interesting complaint, and not one that usually creeps up on people after 2500+ miles of driving.

I didn't like the dimensions of the GTR after 5 mins of driving.

I think we've all committed to things that we later regretted, whether it be cars, women or investments so I'd say cut this guy some slack

It might not be the actual size that bothers him, rather that is how he is perceiving the lack of a small car feeling. The 991 is a small car but it doesn't necessarily "feel" like a small car, which is what he's probably looking for.

Maybe, but it is rather odd to profess it on a thread full of people rabidly in love with the 991. Interesting psychology, don't you think? I mean there is the 356 or 993 thread. Just sayin'.

I find the character exemplified in the video you posted abhorrent. It's a bit of a stretch to equate the OP with that character. At the same time, it strains credibility to assume one would just go spend the dough a 991 costs and decide after 2,500 miles it's too big! I would say the guy is an idiot, but I was so pissed at myself for buying a 997 that was so noisy I couldn't stand it that I bought a Bentley GTC. That would make me an idiot too. I'm not ready to admit that, but I wasn't a troll on the Bentley forum..if there is one.

Well I don't think you or noble are idiots at all. in fact i have driven with you before in MD and NOVA many years ago, but I doubt you posted in the 997 forum that the 997, looking for others that wanted to ditch the car. What's your take on the posting and four pages of replies that all say the same thing and/or crack jokes, abhorring or not?

I apologize for not recalling your company, but there is much life behind me. I wasn't approving of the OP's post, whatever his motive, I was questioning the fairness of equating him with the character in the video. As to the four pages of replies, I dunno, mabye some guys looking to disconnect for a moment or two.?
