Is it known what spec the car used has? Obviously it's got bucket seats. Wonder about the chassi config and if it had power kit and/or PCCB. 1415 kg seems low.
If I'm right, this is the same testcar AutoBild Sportscars used for their Performance Grand Slam-series.
The specs of that particular car: Sport PASM (-20 mm with 305 mm-wide rear tyres), PCCB, PDCC, PDK, bucket seats, carbon interior-panels.
The measured weight with full tank of fuel is 1460 kg. They got 4,1 s to 100 kph and 13,7 s to 200 kph.
I wonder what 4S time would be..? Better or worse? Opionions (without biase please)...?
Under cold conditions as in the video, where the driver tries to heat the rubber before the first turn-in, I imagine the 4S could have an edge. Otherwise, wider (more air drag above about 100-130 mph accounts for quite a bit of the lap) and more weight would mean longer stopping distances, so I don't see it coming in quicker.
Even in amateur hands, I don't see a situation where PSM limits would favor the AWD under ideal dry, warm track conditions. On other tracks, unlike the enormity of the ring, I could see where the AWD could shave precious 1/10ths in apex speeds and not give back all of them to braking, acceleration and peak straight speeds.

Great input. I understand weight but Is it true that wider body 991 has higher drag?
The drag coefficient of the 4S is listed as 0.30 whereas it's 0.29 for the S. Whether that makes a difference around the ring, I'd be the last person to know.
The 996 was 6 seconds slower as Carrera 4 compared to Carrera 2.
Probably less difference now but still Carrera 2 is faster.
Huge technology leap forward from 996 to 997 and I think the 991 is basically a re-bodied (re-chassis'd ?) 997 (technologically) but having back-to-backed 996 C4S against 997.2 C4S ... worlds apart. Even a hot-rod 996 C4S was no match for the 997.2 (torque bias, brake bias, steering ... all feel like 2WD until the ragged edge ... heavy, but the feel is remarkably "right" in the 997.2 C4S ... far better than the plastic steering of the 991 and I can only hope the 991 C4S begins to right that wrong. (sorry about the broken record on that sad song)
As for ring lap times, I imagine the 991 Turbo will be politically positioned right where they want it to be. Even if it could run 7:00 flat, they'd just drive it to 7:18 and write down the number. Then the 918 gets a conveniently appropriate 7:14 and everything is right with the world (just don't look at the Carrera GT time or what it could do today with fresh tires in the hands of a no-limits Walter Rohrl in his prime without a sore back or political constraints :w)
I think all of that occured before he crossed the start/finish line of the timed run. Timed lap doesn't start until about 55 seconds into the video.
Right. I was a bit vague there, I meant the hard ABS lock-up braking warm-up and the gray clouds suggest cold weather and a lot slower time over the course of a lap of the ring (famous for having all four seasons in one lap when it chooses.)
Thinking about it, I wouldn't be surprised to find PSM using the external temp pick-up to adjust its maps and thresholds -- it probably already uses the rain sensor as well, maybe it even uses the engine MAF calcs to interpolate an altimeter reading and a dew point ... : )

I guess that is why the 991S blew the doors off the 997.2 GT3 . . . its just a new body/chassis after all
