i wonder if the front axle is still magnetic... i.e. one click of ebrake disengages the front axle w/o hurting anything

I really like the looks of the 991 C4/C4S. Some how the added rear width makes the car look less "long" compared to the 991 C2/C2S. Moreover, the tail light strip works really well with the "edge" of the rear end . On the 997.2 4 models, the rear reflector strip looked like an after thought tack on.

The rear end of the 991 C4/C4S looks sexy again, which for me was a weak point of the 991 C2/C2S's styling.

The only issue? The rear on the cab, from the pics at least, seems more rounded overall, making the wider haunches less noticeable. I prefer accentuating that big tush, not rounding it off. I'll have to judge it in person.

...when they've been heavier and quicker...in other words, since they've been made.

Agree with you about the Cab. I was really just talking about the Coupe, as when it comes to the 911 - it will always be a coupe for me.

Width:
C4 / C4S = 1852mm
C2 / C2S = 1808mm

C4S weighs 1,465Kg compared to 1,415Kg of the C2S.

Price and other specs on the link provided.
Funny that data wasn't up when I checked yesterday morning. That's only about an inch per side. Nice and subtle. And the weight is only up by 100 lbs. I'm sure the quicker times are related to a better launch with more traction, allowing more power at launch. I'll bet the 60' times are a tenth or two better.
