I've done so several times, including photos, following factory delivery in Zuffenhausen. Search here and 6speed for the reviews. The ship carrying my 991 passed through the Panama Canal last weekend so redelivery of the car in CA should happen by the end of the month.

Agate grey is similar to the stratus grey on my 650 which has a glass moonroof. FWIW, I've always liked that look on my BMW.

Porsche GB today issued a notice all dealers saying:

“Due to shortages and quality problems at suppliers please be informed that Germany have blocked Electric Slide/Tilt Sunroof (653) and also Painted wheels in exterior colour CRX, XD9 and XDA for new orders.”

653 is the glass sunroof.

And today I agreed the deal for my 991 with my dealer. Whole thing now on hold!

It is a shortage problem I've been informed directly from Porsche Stuttgart, they can produce 2 roofs a day max., i still have a confirmed delivery date end of september. No stress.

I have some information (and photographic evidence) as to why 'Painted Wheels in Exterior Colors' CRX & XD9 might be blocked temporarily. I have no idea why 'Wheels Painted Black' (XDA) would be affected! I thought those were excellent and had few complaints!

I was planning to discuss what I know re: "painted wheels' issues in an upcoming post in my thread 'Custom Ordering, 'Porsche Exclusive' and You' on this Forum!

yours is OK as it was ordered before new orders stopped.

Are the going to re-instate the ordering of the Glass Sunroof at some point or are they discontinuing it somewhat permanently ?

...the glass sunroof is one of the reasons I'm thinking of springing for a new 991... I hope they haven't cancelled it.

No. We are pretty sure that we are getting something very different than just a glass sunroof panel when PAG announces (shortly) their new 991 Targa! It will come with a Roll Bar reminiscent of my 'oldtimer' 1970 911E Targa!
