also very curious to the roof from inside the cabin .. is there a sun blind? if so, how does it work?

Please do a search here and on 6speed. I've posted photos--none from the inside though--and there's a video posted of the glass s/r closing taken from the inside of the car. There's a motorized sunshade that works as expected.

Only nitpick I had with the shade is that it doesn't automatically retract a bit when the s/r is tilted, say, to vent heat when parked. So, unlike my 650, this turns into a two-step operation. Nitpicks aside, I loved the glass s/r.

great to see the large area of glass when sunroof closed as big as the roof's aperture

+1. The large expanse open to the sky lightens the interior making it seem more spacious. Further, this can be enjoyed at speed without any buffeting.

Would be great to see a glass panel as an aftermarket option. Should be easy enough to swap....

A retractable shade would have to be added as well which is a far more difficult proposition. Alternatively, the glass could be heavily tinted, but that would mitigate its advantage.

Does this sunroof actually tilt like moonroofs that retract under the roof? I was under the impression that it simply slides open?

Also does it *only* retract the shade ? If not, what is the point of the glass roof if you cant just keep the roof closed and shade open? Am I missing something?

Operation is identicle to steel s/r, ie, tilts as well opens by sliding over the roof.

Yes Shade operates independent of the glass roof, eg, the roof can be closed or tilted while the shade is open.

Hahaha! That guy made me laugh with his intensity. I would have never thought of so many words to describe the 991! "...this bad boy..." hahaha!

Anyway, good find. What I did realize, more from the pictures, is that my car will look black from the top if I choose the glass sunroof. Maybe it won't stand out as much as on the white car because my choice will be agate grey? Thoughts?

I found him irritating after a while, especially his constant fist clenching/pumping.

I reckon agate grey interior would work with glass roof and white. I am contemplating white and espresso with the glass roof.

SFO, I meant Agate grey for my exterior color.

Your car will look beautiful with that color combo. The additional inside light will enhance the espresso..

Can an actual owner of a glass sunroof give us his review?

After a devastating experience with the sunroof on my 997S, I really wasn't planning on ordering it for 991S...
