Default Leather fuse box covers

Anyone order them? If so, could you please post pics. I'm considering a black interior and wondering if this option really adds any value or is a complete waste of money (given the location).

Thanks,
Keith

Never had them but a waste of money if you ask me. How often would you ever see or enjoy it?

Not the answer you are asking for, as I don't have the leather fuse box covers -- but I was just sitting in the car yesterday looking at the covers and thinking how carpeted would be sooo much better than either naked or leather.

Yeah between a full leather dash (which I plan on ordering) and then going to carpeted floor and then plastic fuse box covers I was wondering if the leather would help "balance" the overall image of the car... but maybe I'm only considering it because I can... I think most people would say I'm an idiot for even considering putting leather down there (since it's just my feet that will "see" it and keep kicking them inevitably, lol).

But when no one is sitting on the passenger's side, that's another story (more visible then)...

think it depends what colour your interior is. For example (and at least in EMEA) if you have luxor beige, the fuse box is still black. Getting the leather cover will match it to your interior colour...

True!

I am thinking of getting a black full leather interior so the difference would presumably be not as noticeable...

I'm guessing most do not get this option, huh?

FWIW, I'm planning on ordering the fuse box covers, belt outlet covers, steering column cover, adaptive seat backshell covers, and leather dash for my full leather Yachting Blue interior.

I would think that on a darker interior like black or espresso you wouldn't need the leather covers aesthetically as they won't stand out too much.

On a light interior like luxor beige, platinum or pebble grey the large black fuse cover will stand out more and the leather cover might make more sense.

Spot on. I hated the balck plastic cover in my Boxster's Sand Beige Full Leather interior. Wish I had ordered this option when I built the car. I tried getting one after the purchase through Tequipment, but was not possible.

So I bought some Porsche leather, and had mine covered by a custom auto interior shop.

Just an FYI - seems the fuse box covers are now in a color matching the carpet, so this has really become a non-issue!

would the cover be prone to kicking/rubbing?
