Am I right to assume that the whole rear part of the roof is made of single piece glass?

What I find curious in the the pics is the two cut lines around the top outer corners of the rollbar. Seems to me that if these weren't somehow functional, they wouldn't have bothered cutting out the masking cloth there.

Yup - that and the Cabrio top cover/engine cover makes me think some or all of this roof will retract.

Regardless of the old-school 'Targa' bar, I sincerely doubt this will be the same arrangement as we last saw in - what was it - 1994?

I think I see what you're suggesting. The roof might consist of glass panels hinged together which fold and retract into the cabrio clamshell.

A folding glasstop you might say.

Pure speculation of course but why otherwise the shut lines in the roll bar?

This will be interesting to see. It would be great if everything folded out of the way and gave you a traditional Targa look.

I think 996 offered it, so I guess it will be 10 years...

This car just looks fantastic. Looks like I might have a reason to return to Porsche in the future.

With the targa top up, it looks like massive blind spots unless there is some added visiability from rear windows - can't tell from the photo. My cab is bad enough with the top up, this looks like you will need 360 deg parking sensors or just keep the targa down all the time. Judgement reserved until it actually comes out (sure wish it had the old '70s-'80s style wrap-around rear window though).
