Default Suffering from a bad case of Porsche Wait

It's scheduled for May 24th production. My first Porsche. Base model. PDK, black/grey leather interior, agate exterior with 20" wheels. The last time I waited with such anticipation was 20 years ago - the birth of our youngest child.

Any recommendations to help cope with the pain of the wait?

Ahh! That new car bug feeling. Throw yourself into your work to help pay for it when it arrives. LOL

Congrats and good luck with the waiting.

Difficult. The screen saver on the office Mac is a new 911. Calendar is the large Porsche type.

Congratulaions! Enjoy the anticipation...

First read every post here and squirm over your build, and the shoulda, coulda, shouldn't haves.

Then once ship time comes, be sure to obsessively track your cargo vessel's every move.

This will make time fly, trust me.

Start evaluating your next car purchase right now, works for me every time.... Of course it means 3 or 4 cars a year.. My 991 s cab is off the truck in Malibu Wednesday
Sold the scud last Tuesday and planning a 458 in the fall.... No time to pine away...

Even with my proven procedure for distracting myself, I look forward to Wendesday!!!

I guess I could do that. If I am on the same schedule it will take 45 years as it was love at first sight at a VW dealership in 1966. It was a green 911 that caught my 12 year old imagination. I decided that the 991 would make a perfect early 60th birthday present for me.

Anticipation is half the fun when buying most things. I decided to by my 991 three years ago and the wait will hopefully end next Friday. Off the boat this weekend. I just hope the actual event will come close to expectations!

I placed my order late August last year, and still no seeing my car yet.

Feel better

I visited my local dealer last week hoping to place an order for a 991 cab and was told that they did not have any allocations until the fall at the earliest. However, they had just received a 991 cab with similar specs to what I was planning to order and decided to go for it. I paid a little bit more for the few options that I otherwise would not have included in my build, however, I now have a cab to drive this summer.

I ordered in February. Completion date today, May 25th. The wait has been agonizing. Now that it's built it will be worse!!
