My cousin shot this photo in Michigan today and sent it to me. It looks like a 991 to me, but why is it covered? Maybe 4S? What is it doing in Michigan?

 

Porsche has C4, GT3, and Turbo models in the pipeline so I imagine they have mules all over the world doing testing. For example, last week my SA told me there was a TT test mule running around Northern California. Nice catch by your cousin.

 

Must be the C4, doesn't look wider....

 

I thought the 4 would be wide like the turbo?

 

Looks like a normal customer car with a "matt" paint film wrap. Suspension height looks like "normal" (gaps between fender and tire) not "sport" and the only thing I can see that's a bit eye-catching is the light colored area near the lower center of the wheels, front and rear, as if the calipers are silver, not red, but it could be silver wheel barrels and only the front face/spokes are painted black.

 

My cousin says that only the bumpers were matte. No badging anywhere, including Porsche crest.

 

Also, license plates were manufacturer plates

I think I saw this in Michigan yesterday in the Saline area. Blew by me but it didn't seem to have any finishing touches. Any idea where your cousin saw this?

 

Per my cousin:
"I followed it all the way down Telegraph to I-696 and down I-275."

 

Maybe they will redesign the sunroof and spoiler.....both look atrocious! And....delete the rear windshield wiper!!!!!!!!
