I'd do it too. Cars can handle outside and will be like new if you don't mind the extra upkeep. Old, smaller historic house, walk to most everything- damn, you're living the life. Most of your neighbors will be driving Priuses and they will envy you. Even with a garage, most cars are outside 8-5 at work during the harshest times. I'd get it, enjoy it, wash it once a week, wax it once a month and don't worry about it. Then stroll to the local breakfast place, walk to the Bistro for lunch, choose from wherever for dinner and never have to drive your car if you don't want to.

You do realize the irony involved in moving to a historic neighborhood where everything is in walking distance, and then buying a 6 figure car?

Bit to your question, it won't really hurt it. The main thing is not to let the leather get dry, keep it waxed and use some sort of uv protection on exposed weather stripping and plastic lens covers, etc.

Not in Charleston -- but had some time to spend between things when there for work a few years back, and boy do they have some nice historic homes there!

I need access to DC some days, so am just far enough removed in Annapolis.
