Default great day at the track! lil vid

we drove my 991s At VIR this weekend and I was pleasantly surprised.. fantastic car I will go on record with its leaps and bounds over the 997s ... very stable very fast .. the brakes were fantastic..

19 degrees at 7 am 31 degrees during the run... 10-20 mile hr winds ( thought id put that part in there)

We drove it 100% stock with P Zero 20's no alignment pads etc.

one thing I immediately noticed was the lack high speed sway you get in a 997..

PDK a freaking smooth fast Blast...! they need to have a switch to cut off the paddles!!!!!!!!!!! upshifted a couple of times in the wrong place but no biggie easy to get back down.. turn in was fantastic ... steering was absolutely fine.. no issues Very planted car... very fun car to drive fast ... if you are the edge thinking of buying one.... Jump!!!! drink the cool- aide! hit the gators a few times in the esses... no event..

I will say I am not used to street rubber and soft suspension, more of race car settings ,,, but it really worked well

btw way the straight line speed was incredible! its a street sports car that is and will be a fun track day toy... then drive home for a date!

Very impressive! I was seeing 1.1-1.2 G's. Where/how did you have the camera attached?

I know I will catch grief ... but its a fun sports car not a track car like a cup car ...

Nice video Matt. Do you like the PDK well enough to get it in a GT3, or going with a manual?

porsche has been working on the PDK since the 962. With technology improving every day, it will be a killer by the time GT3s are launched.
