Default Anyone interested in a 'Pastell Orange' PTS 991?

Because of my interest in all things PTS, I was contacted by a Porsche dealer in the Mid-West that has already ordered (on spec) an 'Orange' 991 Carrera S coupe. It is scheduled for production in April and hopefully will be ready for US delivery in late May of this year. I am not buying a 991 at this point and, as of this date, this car is still available...with the possibility of changes to the interior (e.g. deviating stitching, leather interior). If anyone is interested, drop me a PM or email. I have no affiliation or financial arrangement with this dealer. It is just that I find these unusual colors PTS Porsches to be highly unusual & desirable...and hope other RListers might find them of interest too!

The color of this 'orange' 991 is the new 'Pastell Orange', which has a 'colour' code of Z17. This is the PTS color that has replaced 'RS Orange'/Code '8C6' (which is no longer allowed to be ordered) as a suggestion to those that want an orangy hue on their new Porsches. The PTS is a $5500 charge. I believe that the PTS dateline has already passed for all remaining MY2012 991 allocations, so it's not something you can order again until PAG opens PTS again for the MY2013 991 sometime in the future (whenever that might be!).

Saludos, Eduardo

Very unique color. They will have better luck marketing that thing in Florida. Wish them well. Wonder if someone walked away from it, or the dealer is ordering and taking one helluva risk themselves.

It's still a changeable order...so they can still switch it to a 'safe' color for a while longer. So I doubt this is a cancelled custom order that they are 'stuck' with. Some dealers are just daring, Eric, and are willing to take chances with their orders. Thankfully, these dealers exist to save us from a dreary world of just Black, White, Silver and Red Porsches!

Associating 'Orange' Porsches only with the State of Florida is an affront to all of us in the other 49 states of the Union that believe in our right to match our sport car's colors to our favorite M&M candies and enjoy them to the fullest! Besides, don't you know that California is the land of fruits and nuts?
