Nice pics..thanks for sharing...INMO probably a small thing but I think the PORSCHE 911 CarreraS is abit overkill on the rear...just 911S or CarreraS..but I do like the shape of the car overall..can't wait to see it in person..

Well before you were a Member of this Forum, well over a year ago, I predicted the 991 would be the best 911 performer produced until now - a longer WB and a wider front track make the car more stable, easier to drive at higher speeds. But... long term 911 fans see other changes too... all-out-performance is not what some of us seek. That should not threaten those who prefer and endorse these changes.
Thou dost protest too much. Go enjoy your wonderful machine and stop trying to compensate for whatever it is you are trying to compensate for.

I hope you don’t mind me changing the subject a little, just a little, but it is related to the pics. If I remember right, because this goes back, waaaaaaaay back, but the 910 raced at the Targa Florio. You see, I grew up in the mountains of Sicily, and back in the late 60s, my two much older brothers, race fanatics both, used to take me to Cerda—as it was known locally. Vivid memories of the 910’s screaming uphill, winding their way thru those narrow, slippery roads up the mountains. This was the sort of place where people would camp out for days, littering the countryside with cans, food, discarded clothing, etc. Not typical Disneyland fun for kids, for sure, but how many of us mortals have witnessed a 910 running in anger, in its glory days, at a major event?
