Just traded my '10 4S PDK for a '14 C2S with a manual. I personally never liked the PDK
from day one. I guess if it was a daily driver in city traffic it would be fine, but both cars are for fun driving and the manual is much more fun!

Does anyone here have a manual 991 in SF or other hilly urban city?

Does the hill hold function work well in that environment (i.e., with honking taxi's an inch of your bumper on steep hills)?

Yes, it does. I don't live in a hilly area, but I took my 991 7MT into a lot of parking garages with steep inclines (in a city where a lot of people do not know how to drive and come up right behind you as you are getting your garage entrance ticket). The hold function kicks in automatically and holds firm. It really caught me off guard the first time but I quickly came to love it.
