Sport Chrono Question

You are all forgetting the other feature of Sport Chrono: the relaxation of PSM's safety envelope and, with it, the opportunity to wag the tail on twisty low friction corners, or test your driving skills by holding the right line and attitude through corners without computer assistance. Both of which are achieved safe in the knowledge that PSM has only been relaxed, not switched off, and will still bail you out after a few degrees of slip. To be fair, it doesn't sound like this would be a concern for the OP, but it is for me.
I believe on the 991 you only get this with SC+, not with the standard Sport button, so Porsche gives with the one hand... and takes with the other...

I have a 991s with MT and SC and can feel a different when accelerating through the gears compared to a 991s with MT and no SC. I assume that seat-of-pants feel is due to the DEM. Plus, I love the look of the chrono on the dash.

Sport Chrono is a popular option in a 997 because that was the only way to get a sport mode button, which is nice on any car. I wouldnt buy a used 997 without it.
With the sport mode std in the 991, the sport chrono madness will fade.
I find the chrono in the dash and the launch control mode useless in a GT car.
