Not exactly a gloating, sycophantic report, but seemingly realistic and honest. The 991 is faster, but more of a GT--not necessarily a bad thing. I'm looking forward to seeing (and driving) the next Boxster and Cayman.

Autoweek... Never been a fan of them. I will put more trust in the Excellence review than this one.

DrJay,

I agree with you. I am looking for a more complete review. I was surprised by their review.

Cheers,

I'm a bit numb after the "numbness" comment.

Sounds like what we already guessed. A faster car on paper that takes a giant leap "forward" in removing driver involvement.

Active hydraulics that eliminate body roll, are you kidding me. A porsche for the playstation generation, no doubt. And, no thanks.

^ you can order a "basic" one with no active anti-roll and even no PASM if you go for a base Carrera.
The thing is with journalists, they always review the higher spec, optionned to the max cars.
I'm still waiting for a review of the base one with no mechanical options.
I hear what you say with the Playstation gen. and totally agree...
