Jim--The cars are parked at the Red Lion, but the event will be at the Biltmore. Just look on the west end of the Red Lion for the white tents (2). I understand that there is a significant presence from Porsche here this week, and into next.

Great photos Dan and thanks for sharing.

A few people have mentioned the love for the White Carrera and here's a photo taken from another Rennlist thread...notice how "squat" and compact the 991 appears. This is what makes me absolutely love the new 991. Notice how the canopy from the doors up seems "chopped" and how the front of the car exaggerates the headlight roundness....LOVE IT!

The Racing Yellow cars appear to be S models--with 20s.

Saw them there this morning . Wife liked the white and what she called lipstick red. Lime gold she liked at first glance but later not so much as it is more muted. Had free reign to walk about . Took some pics but won't be as good as edgy's. A yellow GTS was nearby so we could see the differences. Chatted with someone who spoke primarily English. Told him my wife had a manual Boxster and me a C4S pdk. Worth seeing in person.

I see they finally figured out how to prevent the lookieloos from stealing the shift *****.
Looks like someone already made off with the hand brake, though.
Ah.. ...progress

They all appear to be C2S models, correct? Any 7-speed manuals in the bunch?

Ditto. Looks like the press will only be covering 'S' models as always.

A couple of those colors are between awful and offensive on the taste scale.

No manuals until later in 2012.

For the public but you can bet there will be manuals on the press launch. These are pilot cars and are configured in ways the public can't...yet.

I cannot believe how great white looks in comparison to the other colors. I am a HUGE HUGE red and yellow guy. I think the base colors are the best, but white aboslutely smokes the other 3 base colors.

Well....I guess we'll find out soon enough. I've been on a lot of Porsche press launches where the cars were configured in ways that weren't quite available as they were pilot cars and they were figuring out production and whatnot. That said, if they are really pressed they might have just one or two so that people can say they drove it...
