Who likes the configurator on Porsche's website? I like the one for the 997 much better. I'm having a hard time speccing a car out just for fun. The picture is shaky and not too detailed.

You're on drugs. It's the best in the business. The new graphics engine with real-time 3D rendering is awesome!
If you're considering a $100k Porsche you can probably afford a $500 windows 7 laptop and you will discover the configurator is now completely functional and better than most. (sorry for sarcasm)

It works fine on the Macbook pro. The 3D is not available on my iPad, but I can still use the configuration. I agree it is better than before and looks good.

Cheers,
I just tried using my iPad again and it does not work for me. Only part of the page loads and you can't scroll over to see what's on the rest of the page. It is unusable for me.Originally Posted by JamesT7

I doubt the iPad has the horsepower to run the Unity engine anyway...
Advanced
Go to the app store and get Porsche Mobile. It works on the Ipad perfectly. The configurator is optimized for the landscape positioning of the Ipad.
Porsche has won acclaim for the website with their configurator listed in the top three for all cars (can't remember the link, it was a month or so ago).
The 3d version works on a Mac when you download the suggested software (at least with Safari).
