That's fantastic! Cheers.

Good one Jason! By the look of this rendering, the roof is only partially open. How could this possibly look good when fully retracted?

I actually DO enjoy my sunroof, it's good to have it open at times when cruising in scenic places... and now with 991, I am totally F***ed! I don't think I would order such an ugly sunroof.

I wonder WHY they made it work like that? It also looks like the larger opening and the way it opens would make the car flex much more than 997 sunroof cars.

From some of the images floating around the opening didn't look that much larger on the inside...

The stated reasons are to allow for a larger roof opening and more headroom than is possible with a conventional sunroof. I'm not crazy about the looks either, but since I would have done a sunroof delete on my 997.2 if it had been possible I wouldn't order one anyway. For people who like sunroofs I can see how it might be a negative. The body of the 991 is supposed to be significantly stiffer than the 997 so the overall stiffness of the car probably isn't any worse with the big roof than with the sunroof on the current car.

I am so surprised that the sunroof is designed like this. That is why I am hoping it will be available in glass to might be nicer inside. Really not impressed with the look or design of it. Hope it is better in person.

Cheers,

Saw the car in person last week.
It looks even worse than in photos. It looks like its got stuck and not fully open. The roof opening is extremely small compared to the size of the sunroof. Others at the unveiling equally disliked it.

Other than that, its a fabulous car.

Just as well I'm a cab person.

Another reason to go with a cabriolet. It looks cheap.
