Default European Delivery? 991 Turbo...

I am looking to possibly buy a 991 Turbo for European Delivery. Thoughts from others who have done similar with previous models? Any real release date to place an order for a new Turbo?

My suggestion is to talk to your dealer soon. When I elected to order a car with P.T.S. and European Delivery it was a 9 month wait to bring those two options together. There used to be a POC at PCNA for handling the Euro Deliveries but I believe that Gabriel has since left Porsche and someone else there has picked up those duties. It's complex--more than it should be, but worth the effort!

Do you know who took over this position?

Anyone have a good contact at a So Fla dealer for a Euro Delivery? I deal with Champion quite a bit but I'd really like to deal with someone (in particular) that is 100% familiar with the process.

Sadly, few dealers are familiar with the process.

Gabriel, formerly at PCNA, got involved when things weren't working smoothly. Have no idea if they back filled that position. Start with a competent dealer.

Speaking for myself:

Autoban + 991 turbo euro delivery = inability for proper break in disaster.

The person who is currently handling European Delivery for PCNA is Rene Shultz. You will have to work directly with your sales associate on the European Delivery, but she is who your sales person deals with. She helped me with some questions I had about getting my Cayenne S back to the US this spring, she was attentive and very helpful.

Good luck!

I would venture that if any dealership would be able to help, Champion would be a good place to start. They are frequently the highest volume Porsche dealer in the country.

If you're new to Europe--possibly. If you're new to Porsche and a turbo--possibly.

If you have self control and spend time getting yourself up to speed slowly--not a problem. I spent nearly 4 weeks over there when I picked up my Carrera S cab and never had anything like a close call, yet still managed to hit about 180 mph on the autobahn one evening driving north from Basel, Switzerland.
