The rear antenna are for the tech's to keep in touch with Mother Zuffenhausen. Also, they beam telemetry data in real time to Zuffenhausen. Helps with data reduction. (South Africa is popular because of how close to Central European time it is--no one has to deal with getting up early or going to bed late, to deal with the data).
The canvas top will remain. With an engine in back there is neither the roof space nor the weight allowance to accommodate a folding roof.

I'm not sold on that yet. The boot seems much larger than the 997 cabs. They could have found away to use light weight carbon fiber panels and use only 2 panel etc.. etc... to keep weight and space down. That or they got very good at hiding the support bows.

Interesting pics.
The camo seems to hide a new cut line in the rear bumper... goes from the llights all the way to the rear wheel well.
Why does the camo go so far back on the headlight ?? Have they made them more flush?
The front hood seems to have 2 camo lines just above the front bumper.. the lower taped one looks like the 993 shape.
The roof canvas is damn tight.. the boxster looks normal with the ribs visible like my 997.
In the long shot of all the cars together, the roof line of the coupe and cab is much more similar than in the past... no cab-hump anymore.
Cant wait to see the real ones.
