$15k discount on an over-optioned 997 may not be as much of a deal as it sounds. Find out what the MSRP is... if that's the discount on a $90k car, that's a decent 17% discount and you're out the door paying $75k plus tax. If it's a $110k car, while a 14% discount still sounds decent, it'll cost you $95k plus tax to drive off.

I was reading the current issue of MotorTrend. It stated that the next 911 will be a MY2013. Quote:

But surely that will then be the old car a year or two later? You can never win unless you swap everytime they bring a new model out as there is always something "better" on the way.....
And if they bring out the new one next year with 385hp as the base and keep the 40hp difference between the Carrera and S models that will mean the S has 425hp only 5hp off the current GT3 and I can't see them doing that.
