its actually a little over 2400 miles in 9 yrs for this owner, bought it CPOO is 2015 and never drove it.
Original owner put 7xxx miles in first 2 yrs
The kicker... car still has Original Tires with date Stamp 1212 with 90% tread, Crazy! ( they are coming off the moment car is transported to my house) . Both owners were in their 60s/70s

Very nice! My kind of GQ....enjoy it! I found my 2012 991.1S four years ago with 13K on it, like getting a new car, well done.

Might be time to replace the PPF if it was put on when it was purchased. Older PPF doesn't hold up as well as the new gen stuff.

And all this time I thought you were going to get a GT3 Touring.

Congrats on your new ride! It looks very clean.

I share your enthusiasm for a 991.1 base, as my 2015 XAT base still tickles my car fancy. I'm looking forward to proudly displaying it in the Werks Reunion event in Monterey this coming weekend.

@desmotesta I was surprised reading this, understanding you had a GTS but your explanation makes sense. I sometimes wish I would have gone the GTS route but then common sense kicks in when reading threads like these and am happy with what I have. Enjoy!

I am sure some of what I shared sounds surprising, I started my 991 journey with a 991.1 C2 S with Sport-PASM, was lucky to own a 991.1 C2 GTS w/PDK ( Sport PASM) and later same exact car with A Manual ( + PDCC)

All 3 cars were pretty similar in straight line performance and Engine related experience, the GTSs of course had that little extra sound both induction and Exhaust near redline.
Driving through corners, there was a noticeable difference between the narrow body C2S and the wide body GTSs, with the GTSs feeling more planted through high speed corners, the C2S felt a little more tossable, but we are really splitting hairs here.

Another way I can explain is that the difference I felt when I went from P-zero to MP4S on C2S and PDK GTS was more noticeable than the difference between C2S and a GTS ( cant speak for a C4GTS or C4S, never driven an all wheel drive 911)
The GTS is the ultimate Carrera in terms of options, Kit and trim, but going to C2 GTS from C2S will not feel like the kind of jump one would expect especially given post-covid prices and on-paper data.

When I compare the experience of owning 3 other 991.1 S/GTS with the relatively short test drive I had on my new 991.1 Base, the result was both surprising and unsurprising,
991's DNA came right through on the base .1 and the fun factor, driving experience and road feel was closer to the C2S/GTS than I ever thought was possible. Of course the Base having PASM, PSE and Sport chrono does help bridge the gulf between the "base" and higher trims but at no point in my test drive did I feel like I was driving a car with 80 fewer HP. I didn't rev the base past 6K but got a pretty good idea of engine capability, and it did not feel anemic in any way, time will tell when I get to drive the car more.
( we also should remember that the base engine is the same engine that is in the much desirable Cayman GTS, so by no means is it a weak engine)

Lastly ( and speaking strictly Manual Transmission cars here), the price delta between a Base, S and GTS pre-covid was more realistic and it made all the sense to spend a little more on the GTS Vs an S, BUT these days the Manual 991.1GTS cars are fetching $115-$125K for low mile cars, where equally equipped C2S cars are fetching High $80s to very Low $90s. Having experienced all 3 trims, I cant say in good faith that the GTS offers $20K more of fun and driving pleasure.

Hope this helps and makes some sense.

As an active shopper of a 991.1 7MT, ive been having a difficult time finding a well maintained or low miles example. Few ones I came across were base examples not the ‘S’ version. Partly due to the significant price delta of the ‘S’ badge.

I’ve always been told to get the highest spec possible, it’s great to hear your experience of base being comparable, epically after having owned some very high spec versions. Thanks for sharing.
