Default Flashing Dash Driving Light

Hi

Every now and then my Porsche has the ‘driving light’ light flashing on my dash (video attached). It’s literally flashing on and off every second or so.
if I turn the car off for a minute then the warning light disappears but it comes back quite often.

any ideas?

thanks

joe

Does this happen no matter what setting you have the light switch. For instance, will it happen if you have the light switch turned to off?

I normally have the lights on auto. I did try turning them off while the light was flashing but it continued to flash.
i did try a diagnostic tool which didn’t show any errors.

I believe that indicates a problem with PDLS. Have you noticed if one or both headlights no longer tracks with steering?

I did just check and the lights do move with me turning the wheel. It’s odd as I can’t see any issues with the lights at all.

Weird. The only thing the owners manual states about that light flashing is that it will be accompanied by a message in the MFD.

Did you use a diagnostic tool that can actually talk to each module in the car, or just an auto parts store kind of OBD2 scanner? I'd bet the BCM or whatever gateway/lighting control module has some errors stored.
