Map switching does not exist on this platform yet. M-Engineering is working on it, to toggle maps, but it certainly won’t have anything to do with your sport button.

The only reason 2nd is flying by fast is because you're on boost, not because it does not make boost. if you weren’t making boost in 2nd it would take forever in 2nd not fly by.

It still stands, Everything you said is wrong. If you’re a noob and still learning that is fine. But your comments confuse others.

No other person on the planet has ever said their tune was pegged to sport button. Its not a thing.

No need for new exhaust, just get SOUL cats.
VF engineering tune is brilliant. Can highly recommend, very linear torque curve.

been driving around with the vektor header and soul sport cats on my gts for a couple of years. been thinking about a GT car but getting denied by the wife, and I do enjoy riding with my 3 yr old in the back seat.

so how big of a difference do these exhaust make compared to the PSE that came with the car? was reading the review here it sounded like a pretty significant difference, anyone with videos?

Can I ask where you had the work done? I am in Marin County. 991.1 base.

No, I don’t believe I will.

Things like, “I had my tune pegged to the sport button”

and “You never hit boost in 2nd gear as it fly’s by too quickly” are moronic statements.

Truth be told I really miss that sound trading in my 4s with Soul cats and PSE compared to the no PSE Turbo-S sound. They missed the boat on exhaust note on the 991.2 Turbo's, not sure why they didnt offer PSE on them. I have a Europipe 100cell cat exhaust getting installed in a week.

I don’t know what more you want, I don’t need an apology. The owner of sportronic explained how my car works, which, you know, I drive almost daily. And the boost comment - you’re right, you make a small amount of boost in second, but it’s not close to what I see in 3-5 on the gauge.

I had my exhaust done by SharkWerks. Look for Dan, he's very helpful.
If you're in Marin, try S Car Go Racing in San Rafel, they can maybe custom fab one for you.

@GoTime
How much boost are you seeing in 2nd? And how much in the higher gears?

I find that 2nd does zip by pretty quickly, and with a lot of tire spin. Definitely can make 20+ psi (Softronic Tune on a GTS) in 3rd+ gears (used the Thinkdiag to increase peak boost displayed to 22 psi). I am usually lifting throttle at the upper half of 2nd gear b/c of the lack of traction, but still see 17 psi. Usually not looking at the gauge though. Base boost is 18 psi I believe.

2-4psi in second, 12-14 if I hit it hard in third or fourth. Pre tune I was getting 10 max. Though I don’t remember what I got in second before.

I think there's some latency in the boost gauge display.
There's more boost than displayed but the gauge just doesn't show it in the short time you are in the lower gears.

I see a similar thing as you do on the gauge, but I can definitely feel the boost.

None of that sounds right at all, especially with a tune. Unless Softtronic has some boost by gear which I highly doubt as that would be limiting power, you should be seeing the same max boost in 2nd gear as the higher gears.

I see the same in all but second, but if there a gauge delay and I short shift slightly doesn’t it make sense? I probably shift at 6k usually.
