Default 17-4s to 18-TTS my 1st thoughts

Guys I recently upgraded from my tuned 17-4s with sport cats and PSE to this 18 TTS. Im not pissing on non Turbo versions but the difference is night and day. I have only been in the car for 1 day and I cant believe how different it drives, sounds and feels. If you have the chance to compare be careful because it can do some serious damage to your pocket. Im pretty shocked at the differences when all the visual tech and interior functions are exactly the same. Few things off the bat, steering feel is heavier and much more connected, It seems like its much more rigid in body flex, Even with no PSE the sound of the 3.8 is amazing. Dont even get me started on the brakes, all you need is your toe, you dont want a full foot on it. Its like an entirely different car. Working on getting all my bolt on mods yesterday and today like zunsport grill, Mirror tap radar, clear side markers, T-Design Memory Module, still have to put in the DSC and Smart top, letting my hands stop bleeding .

Congrats!!! Very good move!!

The Turbo S is simply just bout the best overall car you can purchase. I've owned mine for almost 4 years now and put 16k miles on it.

From a daily drive, travel, thrashing the mountains, track day, shopping, etc. This car does it all and does it WELL!!

Looks like you're modding with the right mods. I had a DSC on my former 997.2TTS and it was amazing. My 991.2 rides so well, I've still not purchased one but probably should.

If you decide to tune it, you'll just be amazed all over again!! Good pro tune and exhaust and you can run high 9's but still drives like stock.

I swapped for a day with my buddy who has a Turbo. Way way faster, felt like a freight train of power, soooo much torque and such a wide power band. I’m not really a fan of automatic sports cars, but I can’t deny the draw of so much power, or that the PDK is better suited to handling it.

Heavy and AWD, too each their own. Great car however.

Yes, true, and I've always been a big fan of "lightness" having cut my track teeth in a Lotus. However, what Porsche has done in making massive power, an incredible transmission, AWD, with torque-split, rear axle steering, chassis control, active dampers, etc., all seamlessly working together seems to make the weight irrelevant. It feels about 1K lbs. lighter than it is, and the performance numbers substantiate that feeling.

what mods did you have on it and what tune/tuner?
(I tried search but all I saw was you were looking for older Cobb OTS)

I had Soul 200 cell cats, DSC and I went with M engineering for a pro tune because they used the Cobb platform.

Wow beautiful car, gorgeous color!
For the MSRP price differential (about the cost of a new C8), it had BETTER feel like a totally different car!

If I were to move on from mine, this is the car and the color. Just friggin awesome. A non Porsche person would look at the two and perhaps except for the much larger breaks and air scoops, there doesn’t look like a difference. But then you drive it. Stay safe!
