auf Wiedersehen
It has been a fun almost 7 year journey with my 991.2 but yesterday I passed the torch on to the next generation. A buyer from NorCal flew down and picked up my car - it was hard to say goodbye but given the lack of miles I've put on the car in the last year, it was the right decision. I'll still be in the extended family with a Spec Boxster and will eventually get either a G50 911 or perhaps a GT3. We'll see. Pics of "old" and "new" for fun.
new" cars.
new" cars.

Thanks! Eventually, yes. Next few months will be tight for me so you may not see me until after the summer break. I will be focusing more on POC as I can run open passing with the other spec boxsters but I will want to do a chuck run with it, which is likely PCA.

Just found this thread! I'm the new owner. Long time lurker on rennlist (Probably close to 10 years at this point), and finally fulfilled one of my dreams of owning a 911.
Really interesting to see the history of the car through rennlist posts, and thanks again @Wujohn for taking care of the car so well. Closing in on almost 2 months and 2500 miles, the car has been an absolute dream to own, and I'm constantly finding excuses to take it out anywhere I can!
My biggest problem now is resisting the urge to drive the car everywhere I go and racking up the miles, as it is just so much fun to drive yet so comfortable for daily use. Pretty much exactly how i expected a 911 to be!

Before my wife picked up her Ice Gray Metallic Taycan, I ordered the clear side markers (they’re really more smoked than clear), and she asked, “is this really necessary?” She brought the car home, parked it, and I immediately swapped them out. Her response, “perfect! Why didn’t it come like this?!” Some colors work with the orange side markers, but silver shades in particular really look better with the clears. People will have their own preference, but silver to me looks soooo much better with clear side markers.

Glad you're enjoying it but I don't recognize my old ride without the orange side markers! I much prefer the clear but for some reason I just decided not to change them...then it became a point of absolute stubbornness because everyone on this forum flames them ;-).
If it make ya'll feel better, my current ride had no side markers!
