Where did you get the IC sprayer, I have been looking for one.

What spring rates did Joey put on your car, he set me up with 70/100? Just wondering as I feel like I need more.

World Motorsports is developing a kit, and I'm the test bed. I'm bringing the car in for a check of the nozzles, and fitting a higher output sprayer (300psi instead of 150psi). I've had the sprayer on for 4 track days. A t 90F, IAT's are dropping 30, but still hitting 145. 55C/131F is the magic number where Tyler@APR found the ECU to start pulling drastic timing. We going to spray more water and see if we can drop the IAT's.

Joey put 90/130 on mine. The KW's come with 90/190, he special ordered the 130 rears.

Recently I've been running the 100octane map, which APR says is +28whp over the 93 tune. It feels like a lot more. I'm consistently 3-4 mph faster in the straights on track. And the 93 tune will trap at 132 in the 1/4 mile!
trapping at 132 is insane. Very nice.

I just checked my last 1/4mi Dragy, Oct. 2020, APR 93 tune and Vektor headers. And the trap was 130.93. I lied

Thank you 90/130 is what I will try next, with stock tuned to 103 octane I need new spring. He recommended the same rate upgrade and glad to see you’re happy with it.

please keep us updated in the IC sprayer these cars generate ridiculous IATs especially when tuned. The IC sprayer seems to be a great option. If they want another tester let me know

Very nice-the ic sprayer is awesome and glad it’s working out! I would be worried about the excess water dripping out and onto the track…no issues there? Another option is meth-I notice around a 45-50 degree drop on a small nozzle setup.

No issues on the track, right now we're spraying less than a gallon during a 20 minute session. The nozzles are making a fog. I'd be surprised if any drops are making it to the ground at speed. Parked, a few drops leak out, but not enough to make a puddle.

Thanks for pioneering the 911R rear diffuser! I followed your thread and got it installed this summer

Hmm This has got me to thinking that I need to get a center radiator and aftermarket intercoolers installed - my C2S has the GTS turbos + 93 octane tune, and I track it. I thought I'd notice the car pulling timing, but maybe it does it more gradually than I thought? Also, is the stage 3 + IC tune different - i.e., after installing the ICs would I need to get my APR dealer to re-flash the ECU? Presumably yes? What aftermarket intercoolers are you using?

Given that my new suspension bits should be shipping to me within the next week, I may have them do this at the same time ...

I added the 3rd in 2021( upgraded? all 3 to CSF). I have seen no difference in oil temp, and of course our stock water temp is always 194. With the 93 tune and 80F, I hit 270 oil temp at the end of a session. 90F, I have hit 284. I'm flushing with 6 gal of Redline coolant next week, hoping that makes a small difference. I do run Motul 300v oil, and oil samples have been good (better than Mobil 5w50). Guess it can handle the heat!

I have the AMS intercoolers. They are good for a couple laps, then are heat soaked. You can do a cool down lap (try to stay out of boost), and get another good lap. But you really need the IC sprayers. I would wait and get them both at the same time. Pretty sure there is not a separate tune for upgraded IC's.

I think you're at the point where you need to go to a larger oil/coolant heat exchanger. You could be feeding the stock one 180F coolant but the oil is still getting to hot because this heat exchanger is too small. I don't know who, if anyone, makes a drop-in replacement.

On Motul 300V, yeah, it has been proven very robust against thermal viscosity breakdown across many platforms. After I had Mobil 1 shear down in half a track day on me, I only use Motul for my fun cars and motorcycles. And I made the switch after many others reported the same.

You're in the SoCal area right? I'm in North Redondo Beach/El Segundo area but head down to Irvine every few weeks. I have a Launch X431 and I can help recode your dash to display proper temperatures.

edit: another option I just thought of is someone can make an aluminum finned oil pan which would help bring the temps down.

I haven't been able to find a aftermarket oil cooler. LN engineering makes a deep sump pan, but it sits too low. I think you are right about coolant temp, and I'm probably spinning my wheels going that route. I'll let you know

I'm in Tustin and a recode would be great. But not if it is an inconvenience. I do have a P3 (obd) gage where I can cycle to actual temp. I've had it on IAT with my sprayer experiment. I did have it on coolant at CVR in Oct, 90F session. Coolant got to 236!

Just tuned carrera S with headers? Stock carrera S turbos.
Wow! What was the 1/4 mile time?

that’s so crazy fast. Back in the day I had a supercharged fox body mustang with heads/cam/intake that put down about 465rwhp at 10psi on 93 octane and was consistent high 10’s in the 1/4 in the low 120mph range. Trapping 132mph is some serious horsepower! No wonder you’re gapping the GT4RS on the straights.
